The review is for the 2 hostels based on what I experienced at The Port Hostel and the Quarter Hostels. The Quarters Hostel is located on the colorful Circular Road and The Port Hostel is located along the Singapore River which the view is facing Marina Bay. These hostels are perfect for traveler backpackers, solo travelers, couple travelers, or the family who love to travel.

Quarters Hostel Singapore is located on a circular road. They allow late check-in but you need to inform them ahead. The Quarters Hostel is a perfect place for those who love bars and nightlife after your busy day of visiting the tourist destination in Singapore because the circular road street is the place where people and bars are alive during nights after work hours.

If you are looking for affordable foods for your budget then circular road street is the place to be.

Regarding the accommodations, services, and staff attitude of this Quarters Hostel and The Port are very accommodating and happy to help or serve their customers who need help. The Hostels have free breakfast only but it is a self-service and you should wash your own plates, which is a very good idea. You cook your own food.

They have clean rooms, CR, and a Lounge area. For rooms, they have En-Suite Dorm Room, Quad Room, and Twin Room.

 Room Rates

En-Suite Dorm Room is $33 rate per night

Quad Room is a $164 rate per night for a family room with 3 to 4 in groups.

Twin Room is a $52 rate per night good for 2 with a double deck.

With hot showers 24 hours a, free breakfast, bathroom, air conditioner, locker, and bed light, key card access, and free Wi-Fi access 24/7. The hostel also allows the customers to use the Mac desktops all in a nice cosy environment. Take note, bring your own towel because they don’t have a free towel and the bathrooms are shared but the male and female bathrooms are separated and it is clean.

 Port Singapore

Is under Quarters Hostel with a different view because it is located along the Singapore River which the view is facing Marina Bay.

Rooms: It is a capsule-type set-up.

Single Bed Capsule for $70 per night.

Queen Bed Capsule for $85 per night and for Double Queen is $170 per night.

Same in Quarters Hostel The Port has also hot showers 24 hours, free breakfast, bathroom, air conditioner, locker and bed light, key card access, and free Wi-Fi access 24/7. Take note, bring your own towel because they don’t have free towels, and the bathrooms are shared but the male and female bathrooms are separated and it is clean.

By TRAIN

The easiest way to Singapore is our subway system known as Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). There is a station at Changi Airport accessible from both Terminals 1 and 3.

From Raffles Place MRT Station:
Once you step out of Exit G, you will see the Singapore River on your right. Walk straight, and you will see MacDonald’s. Walk on the pedestrian walkway along the river; The Port will be on your left, halfway down along this stretch of shophouses.

From Clarke Quay MRT Station: Once you step out of Exit E, you will see Riverwalk building opposite the road. Cross the road (New Bridge Road), walk along Upper Circular Road (pass Riverwalk), and then cross South Bridge Road. Walk towards the white bridge on your left, and you will see the Singapore River. Walk down the stairs, along the row of shophouses facing the river; The Port will be on your left, halfway down along this stretch of shophouses.

On the following day during our stay at this Hostel, we went to our main destination, Legoland Malaysia.

From 1-10, I can rate them 8 for staff attitude, services, cleanliness, and hostel location which are very accessible.
