Yes, I love adventure when we travel because experiences are the best investments in life, aside from business… LOL! This time, I’m not sharing another travel experience. Instead, I’m sharing one of the most awaited experiences of my life.
I didn’t know where or how to begin this story. But I had dreamed about this experience for two years. I always told myself, “Someday, I will try it and conquer this experience.” Then, the opportunity finally came.
One of our friends invited us to join an activity I had always wanted to experience. I was so excited because I never thought I would get the chance to do it. And yes, you read that right! I finally got the chance to fire real guns!
We tried and experienced six different firearms during the activity. It was exciting, unforgettable, and definitely one experience I will always remember.
We tried and experienced six different firearms at the shooting range. These included a .45 caliber pistol, .22 caliber pistol, shotgun, Ruger, MP5 submachine gun, and Thompson submachine gun. The Thompson submachine gun was especially interesting because it was used during World War II.
First Timers
At first, I admit that doubt and fear were already there when I saw the firearms. I felt doubtful because I wondered what would happen after firing one. I was also nervous because it was my first time shooting real guns.
However, everything changed after I fired my first shot. I started enjoying the experience and became more comfortable at the shooting range. I also discovered that shooting could provide a different kind of stress relief.
The experience gave me an incredible adrenaline rush. It felt completely different from the adrenaline rush I get from white water rafting. Now, I’m already wondering when I can return to the shooting range. I’m looking forward to trying different rounds and improving my shooting experience.
If you want to try shooting, you can visit the Northern Mindanao Practical Shooting Association (NMPSA). It is located at Zone 9, Anhawon, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City. It is one of the widest shooting ranges in Cagayan de Oro.
NMPSA is an accredited gun club with three accredited firing ranges in Region X. First-timers don’t have to worry because trainers and instructors are available. They will assist you throughout the activity and explain the safety procedures.
To tell you the truth, shooting can be nerve-wracking and scary for first-timers! However, the experience becomes more enjoyable once you become comfortable. If you are looking for a shooting experience in Cagayan de Oro, this could be the place to visit.
You can also bring your own firearm if you have one. You only need to pay for the ammunition used during your session. The range allows customers to use their own firearms, subject to their rules.
They also offer different packages for visitors interested in trying various shooting activities. If you enjoy firearms and want to try target shooting, NMPSA offers an exciting experience.
