Tinuy-an Falls Bislig, Surigao del Sur

Have you visit the Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig, Surigao del Sur? I think most travellers and tourists would like to visit this wonderful falls in the Philippines. This Tinuy-an Falls is one of the most majestic waterfalls in the country. This Tinuy-an Falls of Siargao is so famous not just the height of the falls but the width that makes it really spectacular,  this falls has 55 meters high and 95 meters wide. If I’m not mistaken it is the widest waterfalls in the Philippines. You can visit also the Tiklas Falls Of Gingoog City.

After you saw the pictures of Tinuy-an falls in Bislig, Surigao del Sur I know you would like to visit the place,  Siargao the Surfing Capital of the Philippines.  Here are some tips going to Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig.

  • The travel time from Cagayan de Oro to Butuan is 5-6 hours.
  • From Butuan City, the first trip to Bislig is 1:50 am going to Mangagoy. But I suggest if you arrive dawn in Butuan the perfect time to travel is the 3:45 am going to Mangagoy.  Butuan – Bislig Bus Fare – P236
  • Do not get off at the Bus terminal in Bislig! There’s nothing there. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Mangagoy palengke or market.
  • Tinuy-an falls is quite a distance from the National Highway so you need to hire a Habal-Habal or tricycle to get there.  Habal Habal Fare – 100. There is no hiking required since parking is right beside the falls.
  • Entrance is P10/head. You are free if you don’t have head..:-)

If your starting point of travel is from Cagayan de Oro the travel hours is 9-10 hours going to Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig so enjoy to your land trip.:-)

  1. Thanks for the info on Tinuy-an Falls. I just want to know if a 4-wheel car can drive thru all the way to the falls vicinity, is the road accessible by car (cemented road) and not muddy? Im worried that we have to leave our car far from the falls and need to hike up or hire habal-habal. Is the place safe/secured. Are their local police or tanods in the area. Like anyone else, we are concern with safety.

  2. This still far from Butuan ding? At P236 bus fare, I think its distance stands at almost 155 kilometers from Butuan City.:-).

    If going from Butuan, until what time is the last trip of the bus/van from Tunuy-an/Bislig?
    Also, do you know the last trip/first trip of bus going to Surigao?

    Mas maganda po pumunta sa Tinuy-an Falls pag summer na may kaunting ulan para perfect yung flow ng water. Minsan kasi kunti lang flow ng water pag laging mainit panahon. Sana makatulong.
