Cagayan de Oro to Davao City Road Is Now Constructed

This is the most awaited road to be construct this year. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is start constructed the road project of Kapalong-Talaingod-Bukidnon worth of P1.6 billion which expected to cut a travel time of two and half hours (2 1/2), YES you read it right 2 1/2 hour from Cagayan de Oro to Davao City and vice versa, much lesser than the time spent traveling through Davao-Calinan-Bukidnon Road.

It was divided into 8 packages including the 6 bridges to be construct and the opening of the remaining 10-kilometer stretch to the boundary of Bukidnon at Valencia City with a total of total length of 57.79 kilometers from Kapalong-Talaingod-Bukidnon road project. The national government worked 24/7 to hit their target time line by early next year. The 3 regions to be across with this road project are Regions X, XI and XIII and is considered an important section of the Philippine-Japan Friendship Highway traversing Butuan City to Davao City and that of the Sayre Highway along Valencia City in Bukidnon going to Cagayan de Oro City.

  2. Nice!!! Makes me feel like I want to come home soon and enjoy the trip to all the great scenery. I use to travel this road back in the 80’s while working as a MedRep. I shall return!

  3. I am really happy to know that there is a new road constructed for Cagayan de oro and Davao trip. I heard it will only take 2 hours to travel there instead of the current 6 hours trip. That’s a big, big relief for us, especially the travelers.
