Ngong Ping Hong Kong With Giant Buddha

Before the month of October end, we have our last travel for this month and the travel destination is Hong Kong. We are so excited to explore the tourist attraction of this country. Our first destination when we arrived in Hong Kong is the Ngong Ping 360. Ngon Ping is one of the most popular tourist spots in Hong Kong where in you can see the world’s largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha statue which has more than 111 feet high or 34 meters with 268 steps leading to the Giant Buddha, the biggest Buddha statue in Asia which sits at 26 meters high, 371 meters above sea level, and weighs 220 tons.

Did You Know?

Did you know that it took 10 years to complete the Giant Buddha which was unveiled in 1993? At the top was like really being in heaven, especially with the cold temperature and the zero visibility caused by the heavy fog. There were six figures of ladies, three on each side of the Buddha, which offers different kinds of things to him. Going to Ngong Ping Hong Kong with Giant Buddha was a very great experience in our life.

But before going to this Giant Buddha you need to ride a cable car. It takes 10-15 minutes to go to Giant Buddha from the terminal of the cable car with 8 stations if my memory is correct. You have a very nice view when you are in the cable car, you can overlook the entire airport of Hong Kong. The beautiful and big buildings that they have, the sea, the big mountains, and the city of Ngong Ping. When you are near Ngong Ping you can spot already this Ngong Ping Hong Kong With Giant Buddha on the left side of your cable car.

You can spend your 1 day in this place because of the beautiful place and the nice structures of this tourist spot. I have lots to share about this place but I do know how to write or to start it. You can view some of our photos below.
