Road Project Cagayan de Oro to Davao City

It was divided into 8 packages including the 6 bridges to be construct and the opening of the remaining 10-kilometer stretch to the boundary of Bukidnon at Valencia City with a total of total length of 57.79 kilometers from Kapalong-Talaingod-Bukidnon road project. The national government worked 24/7 to hit their target time line by early next year. The 3 regions to be across with this road project are Regions X, XI and XIII and is considered an important section of the Philippine-Japan Friendship Highway traversing Butuan City to Davao City and that of the Sayre Highway along Valencia City in Bukidnon going to Cagayan de Oro City.

All of us are so tired going back to our hotel after the 1^st day of our activity during the Soccsksargen Summer Safari. We need to re-charge for the 2^nd day of our activity which is more adventure, excitement, physical and mental challenges. Day 2 has come and all of us I think are so excited for our travel destination in this day. Our first stop in this day is the Dolores Farm Resort which is our breakfast sponsor for this day and it was located at Polomok South Cotabato. This resort is not just an ordinary resort compare to other, why? Because inside this resort they a mini Zoo which you will enjoy the animals that they have, aside on this the resort have facilities also Hotel Arancillo, Kradumthong Function Hall, Kanyao Swimming Pool with deferent levels, Chanee Restaurant and Monthong Game Fishing. After breakfast we explore and take pictures in this resort which the resort has a wonderful place.

Around 9 – 10 am we went to Lake Sebu 7 Falls to try their Zip line which is you can see below are the falls and the virgin forest which I will not be tired to repeat this zip line although even its to far from the main camp. We are the type of people who are willing to try and explore the adventure that we encounter because you could not buy the experience and the happiness to experience this adventure. I previously try many times in Zip line and every time I Zip I enjoy it. Aside on the 7 falls amazing big mountains surrounds this lake and it has a beautiful and virgin forest. One the most unforgettable experience that I have in Zip line is when I try the Asia’s Longest Dual Cable Zip line which is located at somewhere in Bukidnon.

The next stop is the Punta Isla Lake Resort which our sponsor also during the lunch time of the bloggers. I love the location area of Punta Isla because they are over looking and in front of this Isla are the beautiful and clean Lake. The business of this resort was started last 1998 and it was develop and know in the public around 2008. Punta Isla Lake Resort is 12 years in business and I believe that if they continue their good service in their costumer they will know around the world and soon they will become one of the tourist spots in Mindanao.

Well make this post short coz’ I don’t know where to start and how to start this post during the Mindanao Food Appreciation Tour (MFAT)/Soccsksargen Summer Safari. I’m just thinking to start this post during our road trip from Cagayan de Oro or the time that we arrived in Davao. Hahahahyyyzzz!!!!! Where should I startJ. Maybe I don’t where to start this post because I enjoy the event and the places that we are visiting during Mindanao Food Appreciation Tour (MFAT) /Soccsksargen Summer Safari, yes I enjoy very much this event and the places that we are visiting specially the food that they serve on us.

Road Trip

Okay let me start this, pass 12 noon were CDO Bloggers arrived at Davao and have a lunch with Davao Bloggers at Ranchero. We meet some of them during the Mindanao bloggers Summit 3 and some of them were first time to meet (nice to meet you guys). If you are planning to visit Davao and if you would like to eat a delicious and yummy food I will recommend eating at Ranchero. It is my first time to taste a yummy and delicious baby back ribs where in you feel that the person who cooked this food is happy (assusss kay libre man(Free)).:-)

After our lunch we were on our way to the city of Generals (General Santos City), it takes 3 hours travel going there. We are 15 bloggers who went to Gen San and others will go after. We arrived around 6 in the evening and picked up by Orman from the highway terminal and checked in us at Iced Castle Experience where is we took our few minutes rest, wash up and will prepare for the dinner. But before our dinner we meet the owner of Iced Castle Experience (I.C.E) who has a generous heart to sponsor us and to make this event happen Rey Billena. Iced Castle Experience is not yet open to the public because there are parts of the hotel that are under construction, the hotel has a castle design and it is unique compare to the other hotel that we stayed before. CDO Guide and my partner together with the CDO Bloggers Organization have a long trip this coming weekend, YES!!! Long land trip and it takes almost 10 hours for the land trip. Our land trip route this coming weekend is Cagayan de Oro – Davao – Gen San – CDO, this the first time where Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Soccsksargen bloggers will get together in one of the big event that is first time will happened in Mindanao and that is the Mindanao Food Appreciation Tour (MFAT), food is freeJ.

Our itinerary is this, CDO Bloggers will leave Cagayan de Oro on May 28, 2010 around 11pm going to Davao which is 5 – 6 hours road trip and hopefully we will arrive at Davao approximately 6 – 7 in the morning on May 29, 2010 Saturday then we will meet the Davao Bloggers then will have a breakfast together with them. After the breakfast, at 2 pm in the afternoon CDO Bloggers and the Davao Bloggers will leave Davao for a road trip again going to Gen San on the same day where CDO Bloggers arrive.

It is a 3 – 4 hours land trip going to Gen San and our target is that, we will arrive in Gen San around 5 -6 in the afternoon (evening). After we arrive at Gen San we will now meet the Socsargen Bloggers and of course after to meet them we will have a dinner together with Soccsksargen Bloggers and Davao Bloggers and we will spend 2 nights in Gen San. On Sunday May 30, 2010 is the whole day activities of the bloggers, the Socsargen Bloggers will tour us in Lake Sebu and also the tour will not be completed if will not try there Zip line. It’s 6 am to 7 pm activity (wwooowwww), I already imagine how tired we are after this activityJ.. And in our finale, Monday May 31, 2010 will have a half day activity and we will leave Gen San around 1 in the afternoon. This is one of my best tours happened in this year, your CDO Guide will update you and will upload pictures as many as I canJ.

According to Mayor Jaraula, a group of businessmen from South Korea presented to him their plans during the Christmas holiday break.

He said the businessmen ‘though did not mention any project cost hinted that they will proceed with the project if the local government allows them to collect toll fees for 30 years when the project is completed.

Asked whether the project is feasible, Jaraula said the South Korean entrepreneurs must have already made a feasibility study prior to presentation of their proposal.

Jaraula also said that he is not aware on whether the South Korean consortium had already approached Davao City officials or the national government regarding this plan.”

“Ang proposal sa mga Koreans nga kung naay lawom, himoa’g tulay. Kung naay bukid, bangagan ug himoa’g tunnel. Dili parehas karon nga mag-zigzag ang dalan ug maglikay-likay kung naay bukid,” (the South Korean investors said that they would construct bridges on mountain cliffs and construct tunnels to cross mountains. Unlike today where travelers had to negotiate on zigzag roads as a way of cutting through mountain ridges)”

“If the project comes true, it will certainly benefit Mindanao’s economy considering that movement of people and commodities would be easier and faster,” He added

Ayala Mall (Cagayan de Oro)

After I post regarding the Primavera Residences few days ago which this building is a twin 10-storey condominiums..Your CDO GUIDE get another info regarding the new investment that will be happened on the 1^st quarter of 2010….Wwwwwwwwoooooowwwwww…!!!!!! That was my impression when I heard that Ayala Mall will be investing here our City.. I get this info to one of the best forum which it said that Ayala will be rise in front of Gaisano Mall which they said it is a 4-storeys mall with a rotunda on the lower left and an 11-storey or maybe 17-storeys?? BPO at the south end of the property. The parking area of this mall will in underground..

This is another proof that Cagayan de Oro is a growing and blooming city at Northern Mindannao. According to the local official the construction of this big mall will be start at the first (1^st) quarter of 2010. It’s the honor of the Kagay-anons that the Ayala Corporation in choosing our city to put their investment and they trust the city. I would like to thank damarre for the image and some info..

Scuba Diving

With the help of Cebu Pacific Promo we went to Davao, and just a minute ahead we arrived Davao. There are lots of adventures that I would like to try in my self and even my Girlfriend would like to try it also because she loves adventure and it is a challenge in our life. Together with office mate of my GF we intent to try the Scuba Diving at Davao which is all of us are first timer. This Scuba Diving is one of my dream and yet I could not believe that this dream come true. We are 7 in the group that would like to go underwater including the Father and Daughter Uy. For this Scuba Diving 101 we pay 1350 pesos including the Kayak and Snorkeling and it includes our lunch and some snacks. Before going to dive our guide gives us some instruction or in short she briefing on what we going to do under water. First she introduces the gear that we are using and the hand signal to communicate under water and how to equalize our ear under water. While some of us already in their scuba, while waiting to our turn we decided to go Kayaking and snorkeling..As a first timer I admit that I feel nervous when it’s my turn comes (ahehahaehhehhe).

When the scuba gear is already on my back the bit of my heart is going fast..(takot na takot..hahhaahah) but they give us time to practice on how to breath using our mouth. When we are already under water you can appreciate the corals and how beautiful is it and your nervous is no more. The diving area was called Coral Garden because the corals are so big and preserved for the divers.. According to our diver instructor that during the pick season (November to May) you can see many divers and it’s like a fiesta under water..
